Impact on the Organization

It would be very difficult to imagine a completely STATIC organizational culture. There are simply too many variables for all of the working relationships to remain constant for any length of time. What does need to remain constant however, is the level at which the individuals and the teams within the organization collaborate with each other on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to produce maximum value for the organization. Each of the participants will begin the learning with a close look at their own behavioral profile. The participants will also learn to be consultative and learn to form productive partnerships with the team members that rely on each other for work-flow (your internal customers). Being consultative is not a “last-resort,” but truly a best first option for creative collaboration.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn the critical skills required of a Collaborative culture.
  • Learn your preferred “communication style” (DiSC) and how to “read” the style of others.
  • Learn the GROW model for consultative and collaborative communication.
  • Create a personal development plan to enable you to enhance your consultative and collaborative skills.

The training will include the identification and closer look at the intricate relationships that we have with each other in the organization and how all of us are interconnected through our activities and through our daily processes. There will be several activities throughout the day which remind us how critical it is that we be aware of each other as internal customers and that we learned to add value to each other’s efforts in a way that we had never done before. We will then explore the mindsets of collaboration through the use of the GROW model of gathering and understanding information. The learning will conclude with the exploration of the specific collaborative roadblocks that we have constructed with in our organization, and a look at removing these barriers to working together effectively.

Prework

This program utilizes a pre-work assessment that is required to be completed before the workshop begins. The assessment takes only 10 to 15 minutes online, and the invites are sent out at least 10 days in advance.
