Impact on the Organization
The global marketplace is transforming traditional industries, and applying relentless pressure to root out waste and even the smallest inefficiencies. For manufacturing companies to survive, they must systematically examine and optimize their manufacturing processes and engage the entire workforce in continuous improvement. The disciplines of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma offer powerful techniques for doing so. This highly interactive program teaches the use of the major principles and tools with a series of case studies and practical applications to real-world processes. Participants work in teams on real projects related to their areas of responsibility. It prepares managers and individual contributors to lead initiatives that improve quality and reduce costs and launch and sustain continuous improvement.
This program helps managers understand how to build lean systems and engage their teams in support of these systems and in continuous improvement efforts. Managers learn how to asses their organization; identify areas of greatest opportunity for improvement; and set effective direction for their organization.
For individual contributors, the program provides the knowledge and skills to become actively involved in continuous improvement efforts. It also improves their skills for communicating and working with a team and gets them more engaged in the business.
